  • Mail-In Repair: How It Works for Remote Communities

Not everyone can walk into our Sioux Lookout shop, and for a lot of Northern Ontario that's just the reality of distance and geography. Mail-in repair exists for exactly that reason — you don't need to be anywhere near us to get a proper repair.

If you can get to a post office or courier drop-off, you can get your device repaired by iTech Repairs.

The process is simple: reach out through our booking form and select "Mail-in Repair," describe the issue so we know what to expect, then pack your device securely and send it to our workshop at 18 Wellington Street, Sioux Lookout, ON. Once it arrives, we run a free diagnostic, confirm the repair and cost with you, fix it, and mail it straight back.

Packing tips that actually help

Use a snug box or padded envelope so the device can't shift around in transit, remove any case (it just adds bulk), and if you can, print your name and a phone number on a slip of paper inside the box in case the shipping label is ever damaged. If you're in a remote fly-in community without regular mail service, ask us about Fly-in Cargo Shipping instead — it covers the same ground using air freight rather than standard mail.
